Portfolio
Take a look at some of the projects and papers I have completed over the past few years!
Geology and the Human Environment Lab Poster
1
In my freshman year Geology and the Human Environment lab, we were tasked with completing a project over the course of the semester. Students had the freedom to choose the experiment they wished to conduct as well as the data they wished to collect as long as they recorded multiple data points over the course of the experiment. I chose to conduct an experiment that measured mold growth on food. At the end of the semester, I created a poster that detailed the process of my experiment and my findings. Writing as Inquiry:
Research Paper
2
In my freshman year Writing as Inquiry class, students were tasked with writing a research paper about their intended major. Since I wanted to learn more about the world of marketing, I was very eager to conduct research about this aspect of business and gain more knowledge of the field. Consultative Selling:
Weekly Rolepays
3
In my junior year Consultative Selling class, students were paired up with one of our peers and were tasked with completing weekly role-play activities. Each week, our professor would email us a document detailing the situation as well as our role as either the buyer or seller. If my partner and I were assigned the role of the buyers, we would be paired up with another group, the sellers, and would negotiate a purchase based on the prompt. These role-play activities opened my eyes to the world of sales and gave me first hand experience into this sector of the business world. Financial Management:
Book Report
4
Near the end of fall semester of my junior year, my finance professor announced an extra credit book report. In order to receive the allotted number of points, students had to read a book about financial management and complete a book report detailing what they learned. I chose to read The Millionaire Next Door by Dr. Thomas Stanley and Dr. William Danko. Although I would have never chosen to read this book under different circumstances, I ended up enjoying the book and learned many interesting details about the lifestyle of the world's most wealthy individuals. Digital Marketing:
Digital Audit
5
In my Digital Marketing class, my group and I were tasked with preparing a digital audit on a company of our choosing. We chose Warby Parker, an affordable eyewear brand, and thoroughly analyzed their digital presence across their website, their social media platforms, and their search engine optimization. We created both a written report of our findings as well as a presentation. Click on the title slide to the right to view the whole presentation.

Journalism:
Media Manipulation Video
6
In my Journalism: The World of Media class, students were tasked with creating a video on a topic of our choosing for our final exam. My partner and I decided to research the topic of media manipulation as it is a growing issue in our current world of media. This topic stems around the fabrication of news articles across all news outlets and its ability to mislead the public. This project also allowed me to advance my video-editing skills.
